Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th,
commemorates the emancipation of
enslaved African Americans in the United States.

It marks the day, June 19, 1865,
when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas
finally learned of their freedom
two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Junteenth is a time to reflect on
the end of slavery and celebrate
Black history and culture.

"PEACE
NOT WAR
GENEROSITY
NOT GREED
EMPATHY
NOT HATE
CREATIVITY
NOT DESTRUCTION
EVERYBODY
NOT JUST US"
