Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

Please be good. This is the 11th day of the most precious month in the Tibetan Buddhist year.

Please be good. This is the 11th day of the most precious month in the Tibetan Buddhist year. It is the month in which Shakyamuni Buddha was born and attained enlightenment. The power of his earth-shattering realization created karmic ripples such that the actions we do this month, and especially on the full-moon 15th day of Saga Dawa, are many times exponentially increased even today. So, be good. Try hard to avoid harm, even small ones. As much as you can think about the welfare of others, and when you can, act to accomplish that. Please also cultivate the motivation to become a fully enlightened Buddha. Even if this is only words, you are planting seeds. In this way your benefit for others is exponentially increased. Celebrate good deeds of others and yourself. Practice patience to avoid anger. Meditate and tame your wild mind. Be generous. Be kind. Be forgiving. Be understanding. So, just be good, inside and out! Emaho!
