"Psychiatry in the Soul"

What I love about this image is the way it combines Nature with peaceful human activity, which has created a sense of protection and warmth, a sanctuary, or sacred space in which soul can thrive . . .

It is not impermanence that makes us suffer. What makes us suffer is wanting things to be permanent, when they are not.

You enrich us daily with your inner and outer wisdom, thank you for that, and thank you for your presence, dear Carmen. May your thoughts flow into infinity....

Life is not an easy event, yet we must live it no matter what, that is what we are here for, but little by little we become familiar with it until we learn a lot!

Something had to give.
Effort wasn’t being reciprocated.
Energy was not being matched.
I grew tired of breadcrumbs.
Empty promises.
Words with no meaning.
So, I changed.
I opened my eyes.
I changed my ways.
I started seeing things for what they were,
not what I hoped they would become.
I walked away.
And I never looked back.

To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable.

Your nervous system relaxes around people who have:
Peace in their eyes
Growth in their plans
Kindness in their speech
Compassion in their perception
Emotional maturity in their decisions

The universe has a way of revealing beauty, wisdom, and strength even in the darkest of times.
As you navigate through the shadows of grief, you will emerge not just intact, but transformed, with deeper realisation of life’s fragility and its enduring resilience.
Heartbreak may cut deep, but it also opens the door to profound growth, leaving you with the ability to carry on forward, taking with you a deeper understanding . . .
