"Psychiatry in the Soul"

What I love about this image is the way it combines Nature with peaceful human activity, which has created a sense of protection and warmth, a sanctuary, or sacred space in which soul can thrive . . .

The first thing humanity needs to do is have a revolution of consciousness, to look within and at our own shadows, the parts of ourselves that lead us to feelings of disdain, or hate towards others and also ourselves.
We need to look with eyes of compassion for ourselves, forgiveness for past errors that taint our minds and hearts . . . .
We are all worthy, we are all powerful, and can acknowledge so through the fact that we are still here, hearts beating and heads facing forward in an uncertain world.
We need a revolution, one in which we all play a part. A revolution of kindness, compassion and forgiveness of ourselves and one another . . . .
Peace comes from within, not from just wishy washy, fluffy thoughts, but by embracing our own darkness and shining our light upon it.
. . . .
Let's not turn a blind eye - let us look within and to one another with open eyes and hearts.

Dare to stand alone. Walk in the opposite direction and go your own way. Stand in your truth. Let your intuition, gut, heart, dreams, true needs and desires be the only guides you listen to. When you do this you are in integrity. Fully aligned with your true self no matter how different, odd and misunderstood you might feel and seem to the majority. If it’s what feels right, then it is right and that’s all there is to it.
There’s no such thing as absolute truth. But there most definitely is personal truth. It’s yours and yours alone, so own it, embrace it; live it.

The more chances you give someone, the less respect they start to have for you. At first, you think you're being understanding, patient, loving. You tell yourself that everyone makes mistakes, that nobody is perfect, that maybe this time they'll finally appreciate your effort.
But over time, something subtle begins to change.
Not in you, in them.
They start to ignore the boundaries you've clearly set. They stop taking your words seriously. They stop valuing your presence.
Why? Because they've learned the pattern:
You get hurt.
They apologize.
You forgive.
Life goes on as if nothing happened.
And eventually, they become confident, almost too confident, that no matter what they do, another chance will always be waiting for them. They lose the fear of losing you, because your heart has become a safety net they never had to earn. They get comfortable, not with loving you, but with disrespecting you and expecting you to tolerate it.
What they don't understand is that every chance you give costs you a little more of your peace, your self-worth, your energy, and your emotional strength. You end up carrying the weight of their behavior while they remain unchanged, unbothered, and unaccountable.
But here's the truth you must hold onto:
Forgiveness is beautiful, but it should not be abused.
Love is powerful, but it should not be one-sided.
Patience is admirable, but it should not be endless.
Never let someone get comfortable disrespecting you.
You deserve consistency, not excuses.
You deserve effort, not empty apologies.
You deserve loyalty, not lessons in pain.
Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is walk away, not to hurt them, but to heal yourself
Respect yourself enough to stop explaining things that people choose not to understand.

The scales are tipping, and the fire is revealing everything. I can feel it and I think others can too . . .
It’s the Lunar New Year, and I keep thinking about the symbolism of the Fire Horse. I’m not claiming the stars control the world, I’m saying the symbolism feels strangely fitting. Call it astrology, call it philosophy, either way, it’s a powerful lens. If there was ever a time that energy made sense, it’s right now.

In Chinese astrology, the Horse represents movement, freedom, momentum, independence. It is not the vibe of staying quiet in the corner and politely accepting whatever nonsense is happening. The Horse does not do well with cages. It wants open roads, fresh air, forward motion, and the kind of life that actually feels alive.

And then you add fire. Fire is transformation. Fire is truth. Fire is the part of life that burns away what is false, and brittle, and what can’t come with you into the next chapter. Fire is not here to make things cozy. Fire is here to make things real.

So Fire Horse energy is not gentle. It is bold, restless, awakening. It is the season of people getting tired of pretending. The soul gets fed up with living halfway. The things we have suppressed start to rise. Comfort becomes less important than honesty.

On a personal level, this is the energy of breaking patterns, choosing courage, becoming more yourself, even if it costs you something. It is the year of the untamed heart. The year you stop asking for permission to be real.

Zoom out, look at the world. Look at the shaking, the questioning, the narratives cracking, the systems wobbling, the collective sense that we cannot unsee what we have seen. That is Fire Horse energy too. Not because everything is ending, but because something is being revealed.

Sometimes chaos is not the apocalypse, it is the sound of awakening. Movement is uncomfortable, but stagnation is worse. Transformation is rarely quiet, and it sure as hell is rarely convenient.

So maybe the theme and intentions for this year are simple. Don’t go numb. Let the fire refine you, not harden you. Let the momentum awaken you, not scatter you.
The Horse does not run to escape. It runs toward freedom.

Let them judge you. Let them misunderstand you. Let them gossip about you. Their opinions aren’t your problems. You stay kind, committed to love and free in your authenticity. No matter what they do or say, don’t you doubt your worth or the beauty of your truth.

There’s so much talk in ’spiritual’ circles about growth, moving on, letting go, rebirthing, maturing and expanding horizons, but we also need to offer kindness and gratitude to the past, to our old, dying self who’s been our faithful companion and given birth to who we are now. The old self travels with us as memory, wound, gift, loss, and friend, reminding us of all that we’ve gone through to become who we truly are.

And all doors must be opened so that fresh air may enter into our lives!

The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious.
If you have a deep scar, that is a door.
If you have an old, old story, that is a door.
If you love the sky and the water so much you almost cannot bear it, that is a door.
If you yearn for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life, that is a door.

Tell the truth about your wound, and then you will get a truthful picture of the remedy to apply to it. Don’t pack whatever is easiest or most available into the emptiness. Hold out for the right medicine. You will recognise it because it makes your life stronger rather than weaker.
