Moving Like You Used to

This is your invitation to return to what the human body has always known from our earliest days — to move in ways that feel less prescribed and more organic and instinctive.

In the earliest days of human existence, our ancestors moved close to the earth. They squatted beside fires, climbed over fallen trees, crawled through brush, reached high into branches, and walked long distances over uneven ground. Movement was not something set aside for a certain hour of the day. It was woven into the fabric of life.

Somewhere along the way, much of that movement disappeared. We flattened the ground beneath our feet. We began asking our body to sit for hours at a time, to look down at screens, and to spend our days being more sedentary. Yet, many of us still feel nourished when we move our body — almost an echo of an ancient way of living, written not in words, but in muscle and bone.

Movement, in its most organic and earliest form, is a return to that very impulse. Not returning to the past, but remembering what the human body has always known. It is an invitation to squat, jump, reach, roll, and play — to move in ways that feel less prescribed and more instinctive. And when you do, it can help spark a cascade of physical and mental benefits: stronger muscles, greater freedom of movement, and increased cognitive ability and longevity, just to name a few.
