A common space for harmonic peacemakers
This week is the 50th anniversary of the historic March on Washington, where MLK made his "I had a dream speech" and thousands marched again. Congressman John Lewis, the last surviving speaker of the March, spoke today. Here is the scene from Fierce Light which includes some of his original speech back in 1963.

I was born by the river
In a little tent
And just like the river
I've been running ever since
It's been a long, long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh, yes it is
It's been too hard living
But I'm afraid to die
I don't know what's up there beyond the sky
It's been a long, long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh yes it will
Then I go to my brother
I say brother help me please
But he winds up knocking me
Back down on my knees
There's been times that I thought
I wouldn't last for long
But now I think I'm able to carry on
It's been a long, long time coming
But I know a change is gonna come
Oh, yes it will
Just watched “Fierce Light” on AMAZON (It is free there if you are prime member.) During the movie someone stated that the people's power is stronger than the weapons and the dollar. If this is true, so why are people loosing? Today there is more dollars spent on war and less on social programs than in MLK times. The question “will we ever win” was asked for thousands of years. Today the weapons and the dollar are winning everywhere. Maybe we are not supposed to win and the change not supposed to come...
