I get the impression that a great many people think that they know themselves and pass by the meaning of it. We are not the sum of all the things that happen in the course of our life. that is really the scenery passing by.
Knowledge of the self is not the same as any other knowledge we could have. It grows one moment at a time. it is not known in thought but in feeling. Not in the head but truly in the heart. The true self is the gift we are given a lifetime to discover within us.
