What do you say this year...
It makes sense
that your habits
have been so inconsistent
and hard to get in line
the prism of our desires
points light in all directions
to be healthy, to be safe,
to be brave, to be comfortable,
to climb mountains,
to eat cake,
to experience victory,
to experience tenderness.
What do you say this year
we set the beautiful resolution
to turn the battle ground of our judgement
into the common ground of acceptance?
What do you say this year
we set the heroic intention
to create a cease fire
in our chests?
