Also, there were several ceremonies for Tibet in Tel Aviv. It is close to my eart.

Four Tibetan independence activists, including one Tibetan-American, were detained by Chinese authorities today after demonstrating at Mount Everest's main base camp in Tibet, unfurling a banner reading "One World, One Dream, Free Tibet 2008" in English, and "Free Tibet" written in Tibetan and Chinese.
