I met |Koce in Namibia, in August. She’s the oldest in her community and she’s part of one of the oldest tribes on Earth. That’s why her name can barely be transcripted through modern alphabets.

|Koce lived for most of her life in a community of hunter-gatherers. They were experts in medicinal plants, they enjoyed total freedom and they used to live like their ancestors, 100.000 years ago.

The so called modernisation programs of the government forced them away from their original lands and from their traditional way of living. Today they are mostly farmers, confined in a small territory, living a difficult life they never wanted to live.

|Koce still remembers very well her old life and how much she loved to run. At her age she’s not able to run anymore, but she still loves to sing and dance. Her husband used to be the healer of the community and she was helping him during the rituals, through singing and dancing.

What a fascinating woman and what a complex story. Looking at her I somehow see the whole story of humankind.

It is very true, and it also goes for all of mankind.

My Thought for The Day:

A woman is a woman until a child makes her a MOTHER!

Those wannabe women: Do not despair, there is a child waiting to make you a MOTHER. All you have to do is ADOPT. Love and happiness to all MOTHERS ❤️🙏🏾🌺

International Women's Day, "Anna & the Willow"

That is a wonderful portrait of all the women that were able to make history for themselves, but there would be none of us, unless we had a mother!

Therefore women, all over, regardless of whatever their life has been like, need to celebrate, we represent the most important part of the World!
