The issue seems to be that the CISCO box doesn't use the standard 3-digit universal remote codes. The Cox-supplied remote says to use a "SWAP-A" combination on the remote to program the CISCO box, but there's no SWAP button on the Samsung remote. While there are definite advantages (broadband, more HD channels, more disk space) the trio software has definite bugs and problems. The installer found that one of the 2 DVRs stayed stuck on "cnfg" and an hour later ended up leaving it that way.
