fall behind

is that what God created me for?
but there is something
that is amiss
i feel it at my core

i am troubled you see
by what’s in me
that whispers odd things
when i submit
and listen to it
i hear what my soul sings

you would have me wilt
and be full of guilt
that i may do just as i’m told
but i now must quit
and thus submit
to the One God, God of Old

for we worship this
and worship that
and things that are of this world
when all i wish
is Heavenly Bliss
as the hearts of Boys and Girls

for i am but a child
for an eternal while
can ya feel your child-like glow
let love be your talk
let love be your walk
and love within you’ll know
