A common space for harmonic peacemakers
Do you have a dream? Do you have something that you so wish you could do, be and have?
I might be wrong, but it seems to me that every one of us at least used to have a dream, but for some reason stopped trying to reach it. That's ok, it is perfectly fine, at least with me that is. For whatever it is, it is still there, echoing through eternity, and will always be there, reminding you of who you really are.
Yet, this is not what I'm here to talk about, I'm here to talk about the expectations we have from our dreams, or maybe just our goals and desires.
We all seem to want something from our dreams (again, goals and desires are included), expect them to fulfill something in us, expect them to make us happy, loving, joyful and all other kind of wishes. We expect them to do something for us, and until they do, we tend to stay put, not willing to give unless we receive something in return.
You see, none of us really believes he or she will fail, we are mostly afraid of it, but since this is the action of the mind and our true intuition knows there is no way to fail, in our good times, when we do see our improvement toward fulfilling our dreams, we tend to get caught in the other extreme side of our mind – our Expectations.
There is a huge difference between dreaming to become somebody, achieving the yet unknown impossible part of ourselves, reaching a new step of our path, being better than who we came to this world as, and expecting that person we will once be will bring more into our lives, whether it is joy, happiness, love and all those deep soul wishes we all have within us.
Dreams are there to take us on the journey which will wake us from the illusion we live in, the illusion of us having to do anything in order to be and live in this world, the illusion of us being and living as slaves. The dreams come from our deepest part of ourselves, and our intuition is its voice. Listen to your intuition, and you will always find your peace and truth.
Expectations are there to keep us in that same illusion, since it is coming from our mind and it is our mind which is in jail, and because of that we believe that we are, "what we think about comes about".
Our mind is in jail because ever since we are born, we learn from everybody surrounding us that we should listen to what other people have to say and that only when we will grow up we will know and understand, that makes us disconnect from our inner truth and voice, which is our intuition, and forget how to connect to it once we are fully grown. We learn to use our mind in order to remember everything been said to us and slowly slowly learn to depend on it alone. Our mind was never meant to be used as our guide to life, it was, is and always
will be our greatest tool of creation, and there for feels as it is in prison, having to take a different role than what it was meant to be, a different job than what it was built for, and it never is a pleasant feeling having to do
something which is not you.
So keep on dreaming, or let your dream guide your way and path, whichever way you decide to take your path in, please, put your expectations away, they will only interfere, whether it is with noticing you are on your way and it just takes its time to fulfill a dream, or by making you feel so bad that you still don't remember your dream, or whatever it is you want to do with your life, until you would actually believe it does not exist.
Please, just let them go…
