when walking thru the fires of dry parched drought 

carrying aloft the precious heart devout 

slowly singing a silent song 

about the sweetness of the rain to come 

and quench the rage again

 

the burning thirst

the quench divine

all is destiny

all is thine 

 

look into see to smell to hear to know 

that from the heart the 'tree of life' will grow 

its fruit as food to feed those 

who show themselves as thirsty innocents 

in the garden again

 

the cooling balm

sweet peace to come 

the healing calm 

comfort: peace come 

 

Now drown the pain please downpour your rain 

to tenderly caress with soothing drops 

the smouldering scorch: snuff out 

the flaming torch the burning byre 

Yes! - hell on fire drown it 

drown it and fulfill the sweet desire 

of those who seek the 'draught of life' 

to  quench again the raging of the thirst.
