We are all here and have to live with our governments decisions on h0ow to maintain our countries economy.

Why did it have to come to an impasse?  Are we not smarter than this?

 well said Dave D Poet. all of it was enabled though fractional reserve banking. nowadays if you save one pound in the bank  they are allowed, by politicians, to create debt for fifty or sixty pounds. we the taxpayer always have to stand behind the rest of the debt that they cannot cover. then they take out of that for themselves  then pass the debt on to us. thus privatizing profit and  socializing the losses which will be endless unless we stop them or the money becomes worthless by all the fake printing that is happening. it is all most iniquitous and far removed from traditional banking  which was as safe as the houses used to be . that is until the banks nee gambling houses got involved.  we truly need to ban fractional reserve banking.
