Uri Avnery, one of Israel's left-wing leaders, a leader and a visionary of peace...
The journalist and political activist won the Sokolov Prize for journalism, served for 40 years as editor of Ha'olam Hazeh, served as a Knesset member and was one of the founders of the Gush Shalom movement, and during the Lebanon war he met Arafat in besieged Beirut.
