Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

Ingredients:

400 grams of grated carrots
4 tablespoons of coconut oil
2 tablespoons semolina (wheat semolina)
3 tablespoons raisins
3 tablespoons of almond or chopped almonds
300 ml of rice milk
4 tablespoons rice syrup
1 tsp cardamom

Preparation:

Heat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil in a pot and add the carrot grated. Cook at medium heat with constant stirring for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, heat the remaining coconut oil in a pan. Add the wheat semolina and almonds and roast for about 5 minutes. Then remove from the heat. Wash the raisins and pat dry. In a large pot, bring the rice milk with syrup and raisins to a boil. Stir in the grated carrot and semolina and simmer for 15 minutes with medium heat, stirring constantly. The whole thing should have a creamy consistency at the end. If the halva is too liquid, add some semolina. Then mix in the cardamom, if necessary, add more sugar and mix well. Fill the carrot and raisin halva in dessert bowls and put in the fridge for about 1 hour. - For 4 people.

Yes, but I need to see it before it entices me to make it...

I think it comes very close to the upper one. It is a creamy thick mass that should not be too liquid.

Thanks, Eva, because of the ingredients it sounds great, and by the looks it is also yummy.

I will try it and report back...

Thank you for the recipe.
