Peace for the Soul

A common space for harmonic peacemakers

What if you learned that there is an ancient indigenous prophecy about this time that requires your participation? This prophecy comes from a mysterious tribe of people who live high in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Mountains of Colombia. Their name, Kogi, means Jaguar and they have practically avoided the catastrophic changes brought about by colonialism because of their remote location. With an uninterrupted ancestral connection to their Pre-Columbian cultural wisdom the Jaguar People have a very important message and prophecy to share with the world today. This story is every-bit as fantastical as the James Cameron hit film Avataryet it is real, it is about our home-planet, and it involves you!

The Kogi are descendents of the Tairona People of the Amazon and are the last surviving intact cultural lineage from the age of the Inca and Aztec. The Tairona People were known for their fine crafted gold figurines and jewelry that they often hung in trees or buried in clay pots as a means of honoring the interconnectedness of all life.

In the popular film,Aluna (which you can watch free on Youtube), the Kogi demonstrate how “golden threads” connect every human, plant, and animal to their universal origin. This wisdom is all but forgotten in our modern world when we need it most. The Kogi are inviting us to return to this sacred place of origin filled with ancestral memory and divine healing power.

The Amazon Prophecy Project is being led by Rev. Patrick McCollum and a specially chosen team passionately dedicated to this important message. McCollum is a life-long peace activist specializing in conflict resolution by elevating marginalized and indigenous voices. His work advocating and paving the way for sweat lodges in prisons for native inmates and other revolutionary approaches to restorative justice are legendary. Bringing diverse people together to find common ground and create solutions is why Patrick was inspired by this project.

“Patrick travels the world working for peace — he has surely been sent to help us heal the wounds we have inflicted on each other and on the natural world before it is too late. Patrick is one of the foremost peacemakers of our time!” - Jane Goodall

In the James Cameron Avatar film, the natives in a fictional world called Pandora must come together to defend the sacred web of life from extractive corporations. In the Amazon today the story is not so different. Though the Kogi possess a great wisdom about the land and a super natural connection to the sacred, they are needing support from the outside world. Legal support, educational outreach, online campaigns, and a global effort is needed to restore balance to the ecosystems in the Amazon.

If we lose the Amazon, the catastrophic impact will be felt around the world. The Kogi teach us how every human, plant, and animal is connected within natural ecosystems. What we do to our environment we also do to ourselves. Therefore this movement of people coming together globally around this important message signifies a prophetic shift towards healing ourselves as well as our planet.

The McCollum Foundation will be hosting a year-long campaign with a special event planned for each month. The program launches on November 25 from 4:30–8pm Pacific Standard Time with a global livestream. Speakers include physicist, ecologist, activist, women’s advocate, and author of numerous books, Dr. Vandana Shiva. Jane Goodall, Chief Phil Lane, Ambassador Chowdhury and many other notable visionaries will also be presenting on the 25th. Musical appearances from indigenous artists Kandy Maku and Olox will be an inspiring and celebratory experience to life.

Event co-sponsors include The Laboratory Arts Collective who are concurrently hosting the Festival of Curious Minds. The livestream is being co-produced with Unify. Please visit the event website and register so that you can learn more and become part of this heroic journey to assist our indigenous allies in healing our wounded planet.

We tend to look towards political leaders for the needed changes in our world yet these changes actually begins on the grassroots level. When people come together through an act of love with a desire to protect what is sacred we begin to see real miracles happen. We are witnessing a profound shift in consciousness as we look towards and return to our origin.

The intention of the Amazon Prophecy Project is to create a global movement led by the wisdom of our most ancient indigenous stewards of the natural world. This is a collaboration that celebrates the very best of humanity from antiquity to the present and forward into the future. We are discovering the hidden threads that connect us all and healing what has been severed over the centuries. This prophecy has been passed down for generations and you are being invited to step up and play your part. Join us on November 25 from 4:30–8pm PST and for events each month through the upcoming year. Visit www.return2origin.org and register today!

I do believe with the Kogi that we are all inter-connected, furthermore I believe we are all but One Soul and thus, what we do unto others we are doing unto ourselves, may it be in the animal, plant or mineral kingdom, therefore is up to us to save this World!
