welcome autumn and the seasons of life ~

the sweet smell of apples ripening
sunflowers, corn stalks , corn mazes
wagon rides , pumpkin picking
leaves beginning to turn color
season changing
we welcome autumn in our lives too
young jumping in the leaves
older ones with canes , walkers, wheelchairs
in between's working hard
gathering what is needed to sustain human life
we see our differences
but celebrate the life we have in common
many have gone on
others yet to come
the wheel of life continues
with the seasons of life
our springs , summers , autumns , winters
we cry , laugh , rejoice, with gratitude
in wonderment at the gift that life is to us all
short or long our time on earth
somehow we are honored to be here
learning what it is to be truly human
fragile and yet strong
love matters most
from our birth , through life , to our death
we can celebrate our chance to be
