Expected and Helpful
Regrets. Do you know of any human who does not have them? Of course you cannot know another’s thoughts, but the human experience is universal. You have all done or said things which you wish you could do over or say over. Now the question becomes, do you allow it to roll around inside of you, bobbing to the surface every now and then to remind you that you are not perfect? Give it a rest, dear one. And you do that by acknowledging that you will never be perfect, and in that acknowledgment lies your salvation. Ask yourself what the regret has to teach you. What did you learn? How have you or might you change as a result? And that is how you grow. And as you grow, you can send gratitude to those regrets for helping you become a bit more harmonious of an imperfect being who continues doing your best.

Pleasing
It is true that you cannot please everyone. Should you even try? Be careful of “shoulds.” You are here to shine your light, beautiful soul. You know when you are shining and when you are not. There is an inner knowing. If you are shining and others react in an opposite fashion, could that perhaps have something to do with their inner light? You are not responsible for others’ feelings, and yet, the soul loves to send the light of love and have it reflected back. Send love and compassion when others are not shining brightly. Regardless, the soul is whole.

The Knowing
“I wish I had followed my intuition.” How often have you said these words? You know there is a knowing within you that often leads to far better outcomes than thinking something through. And yet, you are so accustomed and so trained to trust the brain that you ignore the heart. Of course we use these two organs symbolically, for thinking and knowing are aspects of Awareness, yet the focus you put on these two forms of processing experiences can have greatly varied results. Make a vow to trust that helpful voice of intuition within and you will recognize the same sense of knowing when those who have passed speak to you from the heart.

Equalizing
“I was blind, but now I see, the divinity that was always here as you and me.” Are you yet able to make this claim? When and as you are able and do so, you will taste and experience the freedom that the soul knows is your birthright. If you balk at the thought of knowing that Consciousness, Awareness, Source Light, “This”, is your true nature, then you still know fear. There is no shame in this. It is part of the journey of awakening. Examine why you balk and see your objections as learned behavior. To claim one’s divinity is not a way to inflate the ego. Quite the opposite, dear one. It is the great equalizer.

Trusting
You cannot rush your connection with those who have passed. Why not? For rushing brings on a state of restriction and disharmony born of need and angst. Connection is the result of coherence, allowing your shared resonance to bring those you love into awareness. They are right here, you know. And it is this knowing at the deepest level that allows you to trust and to slow down and to clear away anything disharmonious that may be blocking that resonance. You know they still exist. Now trust that knowing, relax, relax, relax, and sit quietly for a few minutes each day honoring their presence. This will produce far more clarity than rushing ever will.

Serenity
You may try to control certain situations. You may try to manage them. Whatever you call this, the outcome of any situation remains unknown, most especially if there are interactions with other sentient beings involved. What to do? The serenity prayer, dear one, is your ally in every moment. May you find the peace within to accept the things you cannot control, to take appropriate action when possible, and may the difference between these two circumstances be clear as it arises from the same place as the peace that you are hoping to remain connected to.
You are so very loved.

Bumbling & Stumbling
When something does not come out the way you envisioned, be it a project or even words tumbling from the mouth, pause. Now is not the time to weave a story. Now is the time to breathe and drop out of the head and into the heart. Hold awareness here, and now drop even lower, to the hara. Now that you have achieved a different result than anticipated, how will you react? The head might tell you one thing. From the hara will arise something new. Let it do so, with the heart offering its own offerings. There now, perhaps what seemed a bumble, a stumble, a mistake, or perhaps a bit of grace will turn out to be a blessing when you are present with what is.
You are so very loved.

Storytelling
Are you tired of whatever it is that is upsetting you? Pause and examine your thoughts around this issue. What is actually happening here? Can you simply list the facts? When you have this list, pretend that you are giving it to a neutral observer. Then list all of the stories and their related meanings you have constructed around these bare facts. Do you think your observer will come up with the same emotion-laden stories? It is unlikely, for each of you constructs your unique stories based on patterns within your unique field of being. If your story is upsetting you but not upsetting your observer, herein lies the key to your peace. Deconstructing the stories you weave leads to freedom, but it does take awareness. And the good news is: your true nature is awareness itself.

Unembellished
Recognizing the narrative is the start. Now you have stepped back from the story instead of being so immersed in it that you forget you are a character within it. And once you see from this wider perspective? Now you face choices: Remain caught up in the narrative and suffer. This is not even a choice for those so caught up that they have lost awareness. And the second choice? List the facts you observe. What is the actual experience without any embellishments? The key is to feel the peace that accompanies such pure experience. Embellishments are entertaining, but are they helpful?

Unquestioned?
What you call your thoughts are not necessarily yours. Do you understand that consciousness is one undivided flow in dynamic motion? What you call your thoughts are but one pattern in an interconnected tapestry of flowing patterns. Perhaps you understand waves in one sea. Whatever analogy you use, do try to understand that other waves are interacting with what you call your waves, causing thoughts to arise within what you call your awareness. Question your thought more often than you may be doing. Are these thoughts helpful or harmful? Do they move you forward with ease and freedom or hold you prisoner to the past? Unquestioned thoughts are the source of many challenges.
You are so very loved.
