A common space for harmonic peacemakers
Happy Birthday, Mohandas (Mahatma) Gandhi *
As the world prepares for the 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi, the man of peace and nonviolence, I submit the words of Nobel Laureate Tagore to awaken our conscience at a time when politicians are spreading hate and prejudice in the world.

Thought for the Day:
Go not to the temple (mosque, church, synagogue) to put flowers upon the feet of God, first fill your house with the fragrance of love; Go not to the temple to light candles before the altar of God, First remove the darkness of sin from your heart; Go not to the temple to bow down your head in prayer, first learn to bow in humility before your fellow men (women); Contd

Let's celebrate Peace remembering Mahatma Gandhi's 150th birthday, Int. Day of Nonviolence..
Thanks, Eva, for this tribute to Gandhi, the man of peace, and for the words of Tagore.
Yes, we need to harbor only love equally for everyone and wish the enlightenment of everyone as well as ours.
We need a united Nation, instead of a divided one, we need one World, instead of a divided World, but what we need and what is happening is not the same.
Therefore, we need to continue to try to achieve Universal Love, above all things, and for that as Tagore says, we need to love that which is the closest to us, our own home and environment.
Happy Birthday, great Soul!
Great. Wonderful man.
