I Speak of Palestine
I speak of your insistence
on believing what you’re told
to be so blind:
you must have learned
what not to know
to be so cold that you can say
“These people do belong
inside this tomb.”
They cannot move
or live
or eat
And, yes,
I speak of Palestine.
You cannot hold
its fate is just
and not be part
of grinding up
their bones and blood
to mix with desert earth
and olive oil
to build your state, your jail;
a wall surrounds
their place, like this:
a torture room
a starving field
a stolen home
a human shield
a bullet for a child
and poison gas on village streets
their food, their food!
Their food is gone
you cleanse
and push
and punish
taking what you want
to have for you alone.
We know it’s rape,
and though the world records
your names and deeds,
the future courts and trials
will not revive
the dead, displaced and missing.
And yes, I speak of Palestine.

Demonstration last Friday in Sheikh Jarrah
- the video is from the demonstration last Friday in Sheikh Jarrah - which has become for Palestine the core of the struggle.. and that you can see in the video - the attack against unarmed civilians (thus starting the War) - then the treatment they reserve for the most innocent people in a horrible way...

What I have always found interesting is on page 37 where Weizmann meets Balfour and give him an introduction on the Zionist aims and ambition. Balfour and the Zionists see that a colony could serve the interest of the other and the Zionists, for the "millions" of Jews envisioned would emigrate to Palestine. They, the few of them envisioned this while there were no "millions" of people even remotely interested in emigration! Then of course we know that lo and behold there was a holocaust to force the Jews to flee while the Zionists greeted them at the door. And we have the Haavara Pact in 1933 between Hitler and the Zionists and the ol' Jewish bankers who seem to be attached to every calamity for the past hundred years. The Arabs were so concerned by the close co-operation between
the Nazis and the Zionists that they became convinced that Hitler must
be a Jew who was just trying to establish a Jewish State throughout the
Middle East!
